Magnolia Rasak
Yoga Instructor & Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist
My journey into the world of embodied movement practices began when I was a child. From the time I could walk, I gravitated toward rhythmic gymnastics, dance, and ballet, finding freedom and self-expression through movement arts. My dedication to rhythmic gymnastics led me to compete as a Junior Olympian, ranked first in the state and a seventh in the nation. However, at the height of my career, I felt called to explore new avenues of movement and connection.
At 16, I discovered yoga, and it was love at first class. Yoga became a powerful new chapter in my life, guiding me through my transition from gymnastics and offering a holistic approach to movement and self-discovery. My first teacher, Diane Gilbert of Redondo Beach, CA, mentored me one-on-one, providing an authentic foundation in the practice. By 2002, I was teaching yoga, deeply rooted in the teachings and traditions of T. Krishnamacharya and TKV Desikachar. My style draws from Viniyoga, Vinyasa Yoga, and the rich philosophy of the Advaita Vedanta Yogic tradition, woven together with influences from meditation, energy work, and my dance background.
Over the years, yoga has been a transformative force in my life. My studies have taken me across the globe—from India to Thailand, Mexico, Bali, and the U.S.—immersing myself in Hatha, Vinyasa, Kundalini, Tantra, and Prenatal Yoga. I draw inspiration from the teachings of ancient sages like Sri Ramana Maharshi, Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj, and Paramahansa Yogananda, as well as modern spiritual teachers including Amma (Mata Amritanandamayi Devi), Sri Prem Baba, Adyashanti, and Mooji.
For me, yoga is more than a physical practice; it’s a way of life. It informs my every action, cultivating qualities like non-violence, compassion, mindfulness, and connection.
As a teacher, I utilize the physical practice as a means for deeper exploration into the subtle energies at play in our lives. I guide my students to explore the interplay between asana practice, meditation, and yogic wisdom teachings, helping them expand their awareness of the body, mind, and spirit connection.
My passion for healing extends beyond yoga and into the field of hypnotherapy. I first turned to hypnotherapy to support my own healing journey, seeking freedom from old habits and limiting beliefs. From my first session I noticed positive changes in my life. Old beliefs and painful memories seemed to affect me less and less. What I wanted to do, believe and attract became easier to cultivate, and I found immense freedom and growth in a relativley short amount of time. In a handful of sessions, big changes that felt near impossible to change before seemed to shift with greater ease.
The profound and rapid changes I experienced inspired me to pursue certifications in hypnotherapy, past life regression, neurolinguistic programming (NLP), inner child work, voice dialogue, and holistic wellness practices.
Today, as a certified clinical hypnotherapist, I combine my expertise in yoga, mindfulness, energy work, and hypnosis to create personalized, transformational sessions for my clients. Hypnotherapy has shown me how deep, lasting change can occur with ease, and it brings me immense joy to share this tool with others.
Throughout my life, I’ve been guided by a desire to bridge the gap between physical and spiritual wellness, empowering others on their journeys toward healing, growth, and authentic living. My personal journey towards healing and happiness through all the ups and downs, twists and turns has guided me to offer more healing practices to the world around me. To offer a path of wellness that digs deep to the very Soul yearning of each person.
It is my deepest desire to offer a path towards a more loving experience of life for all Beings.
From my heart to yours, may we all come to know peace from the inside out,
Oṃ śānti śānti śānti
